Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
Westmead and Parramatta are the centre of exciting new developments and transport changes. Our community is diverse in culture and welcoming. Westmead Hospital offers multiple opportunities for qualified midwives to work from 2 shifts/week to full-time in rotational positions across Women’s and Newborn Health. Eight (8) and Ten (10) hour shifts (semi-permanent nights an option) with 12-hour shifts in Birth Unit by negotiation after initial rotation. Rotation includes antenatal clinics, birth unit, and postnatal. We have a supportive environment that nurtures the experience you need for any career pathway in Midwifery. We offer care for the most complex Obstetrics cases with an abundance of midwifery-led models for you to experience. New Grads welcome to apply. Future opportunities for Caseload and MAPS considered.

Registration: Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
Selection Criteria:
- Previous relevant clinical experience in speciality.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
- Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team.
