Job Title: Boilermaker / Fitter (TBM Ancillary – STP, Conveyors & Grout Plant) – Casual Contract

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 12-hour shifts. Day & Night shifts unconfirmed.

Rate:

Day Shift: $70/hr

Night Shift: $105/hr

About the Role

Acciona is preparing for the TBM launch phase and we’re seeking experienced Boilermakers / Fitters to join our team. You will work on key site infrastructure including the Surface Treatment Plant (STP), conveyors, grout plant, plus all ancillary TBM works. This is an important role to ensure site readiness, operational integrity, and safe, reliable function of all mechanical systems leading into launch.

Key Responsibilities

Fit, install, adjust, maintain, and repair mechanical components in STP, conveyor systems, and grout plant.

Fabricate and weld metal assemblies/structures as required.

Assist in installation, alignment, adjustment of machinery, conveyors etc.

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on ancillary TBM plant.

Coordinate with site supervisors, maintenance team, and other trades to meet project milestones.

Adhere strictly to safety policies, site procedures, and quality standards.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions to minimise downtime.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Fitter or equivalent.

Prior experience in fit-up/welding/fabrication on large plant equipment, conveyors, or similar mechanical systems.

Experience working with grout plants, conveyors or in tunnelling / underground / heavy civil works is highly advantageous.

Strong welding skills (structural welding, fabrication) and ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Physical fitness; capability to work in challenging site conditions, around heavy machinery.

Flexibility for shift work including nights as needed.

Strong safety mindset; ability to enforce and adhere to safety rules.

Reliable, punctual, and work well in a team environment.

What We Offer

Excellent hourly rates: $70/hr days, $105/hr nights.
