The Role
We are looking for a Tier 2+ IT Support Specialist who thrives in dynamic environments and can combine hands-on technical expertise with exceptional client communication. You will be an integral part of providing on-site support to our clients, absorbing technical details, troubleshooting issues in real time, and working proactively to resolve challenges.
Additionally, your role will involve remote support, ensuring both our small business clients and their staff receive clear and friendly guidance across a variety of Microsoft 365 tools, cloud services, desktops, and other SMB tech solutions.
Your ability to ask questions and gather information will be critical to effectively diagnosing and solving issues, especially when engaging with non-technical users. By carefully listening to client needs and challenges, you'll ensure that every support request is handled with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-call and onsite IT support to SMB clients, ensuring timely resolutions for critical issues
Manage and administer Microsoft 365 tenants, including users, mailboxes, security settings, and Teams configurations
Support SharePoint and OneDrive, handling permissions, migrations, and sync issues while collaborating with clients to understand their needs
Utilise RMM software and ticketing systems to stay organised, track progress, and ensure issues are resolved proactively
Troubleshoot desktops/laptops (Windows & Mac) and peripheral issues, providing on-the-spot, hands-on support when needed
Assist with backups, cloud storage management, and recovery processes
Deliver clear, jargon-free communication, whether on-site or remote, to ensure all staff, regardless of technical knowledge, are kept informed and productive
Must-Have Skills & Experience
A minimum of 2 years' IT support experience in an MSP or similar environment
Solid experience managing Microsoft 365 environments, including SharePoint and OneDrive administration
Experience using RMM tools and ticketing systems to track and prioritise support tasks
Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware (laptops, desktops) and cloud-based services
Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with a focus on building relationships and understanding client needs
A valid driver’s license (onsite visits are required)
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with web hosting, DNS, and WordPress
Support knowledge of VoIP systems (e.g., 3CX)
Familiarity with Google Workspace
Microsoft or CompTIA certifications
