Cairns local company, Miles of Landscaping Pty Ltd are looking for a Landscaping Apprentice. The position is based on a 44-hour week. For a first-year apprentice the starting annual salary is between $50K - $55K. Applicants are required to have an interest in Commercial and Domestic Landscaping and enjoy working outdoors. Apprentices would be trained in duties including Nature Play Space installation, timber decking, pergolas, irrigation system installation, preparation of lawn areas by spreading top soil and laying turf, installation of hardscape and softscape structures, constructing gravel and paved areas, construction of retaining walls (i.e. link block, concrete sleeper, timber sleeper, masonry block), timber and alloy fencing, synthetic grass installation, preparation and planting of garden beds. Truck license, bobcat and excavator experience would be a highly regarded.
