ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Business Development Executive you'll join a high-performing team, doing a phone-based role. You will focus on qualifying warm leads, following up on referrals, and speaking directly with businesses such as pharmacies, gyms and other local enterprises. Working closely with a supportive Client Service Manager, you’ll help clients understand the risks they face and provide tailored solutions to mitigate them — all while achieving monthly new business targets.
DUTIES
- Make outbound and follow-up calls daily to warm B2B leads
- Qualify inbound enquiries from the marketing portal and referral channels
- Build and maintain relationships with business owners, converting interest into sales
- Strategise over the phone to uncover needs and present tailored risk solutions
- Develop strong client relationships and convert opportunities into revenue
- Prepare accurate submissions, quotes and supporting documentation
- Stay informed of industry trends and contribute to process improvements
- Work towards a monthly new business target, contributing to team success
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in a sales or phone-based business development role (e.g., energy, gym memberships, telco, B2B sales)
- Confidence on the phone with strong relationship-building and persuasion skills
- Demonstrated ability to work to and exceed KPIs
- Organised and proactive, with excellent follow-up and pipeline management
- Experience in insurance, banking or financial services advantageous but not essential
- Undertake, Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification as part of onboarding
