About the business
Aboriginal Land Care PTY LTD - provides quality environmental and land care services, including land management and maintenance for bushland reserves, natural areas, parks, gardens and streetscapes.
We are based in South Guildford but work across the greater Perth region and occasionally work in rural areas.
We are a small and quickly expanding business specializing in Natural Areas and Environmental Services such as weed control, revegetation, natural areas maintenance, land management & everything in-between.
Both casual and full-time positions available within General hand and Team leader roles dependent on the applicant's skillset and experience.
About the role
We are seeking motivated and reliable persons to join our small but great team. Throughout the first 3 months probationary period you will be trained and familiarized with all our sites, how we operate within them and how we provide our services.
The role will include but is not limited to herbicide spraying & application, manual weed control, mechanical weed control i.e. operating of small plant equipment (chainsaws, hedgers, brush cutters etc.), rubbish removal, vegetation management, erosion control, watering services, native seed collection , planting from tube stock to trees and a variety of other tasks related to land management, horticultural and conservation works.
We will require team members to assist in implementing weed control programs, revegetation projects and natural areas management programs we have in place. You will also be required to provide daily reports dependent on your position, work with team members to produce flora maps - reports and weed control plans dependent on your experience among other required tasks to name a few.
Please note - pay rate varies on qualifications and experience. Our starting hourly pay rate for new staff ranges from $33-$36.

Skills and experience
Required
Safe approach to working at all times & in all environments.
License Needed (Manual / C class preferred).
Pesticide license (spray ticket) or TAFE units complete - Highly Desired.
Interest in natural areas, ecosystems and native plants is a must.
Must be capable to deal with labor intensive works & fit for work.
Hardworking, honest, dependable, and trustworthy.
Tolerate working in all weather conditions.
Hands on with a commonsense approach.
Must work well in a team environment and independently.
Desirable
Experience towing trailers & driving offroad.
Certificate in Conservation and Ecosystems or Horticulture.
Environmental Science studies / bachelor's etc.
Able to identify native plants & weeds within the Perth Metropolitain area.
Experience in conservation and land management or horticulture fields.
Pesticide Ticket or units complete.
LR and or MR License.
