With a strong focus on innovation and excellence, they’re looking for a talented and driven Specifications Manager to lead the sales efforts across NSW and ACT, specifically focusing on architects, designers, and key commercial clients.
About the Role:
As Specifications Manager, reporting to the National Sales Manager, you’ll be the key point of contact for architects, interior designers, and other key specifiers in the commercial building sector. Your role will focus on building and nurturing relationships with these stakeholders, promoting the company’s premium product range, and achieving sales targets within NSW and ACT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, and key commercial specifiers, ensuring your product is their first choice for every project
- Develop and implement strategies to drive specification sales, ensuring company products are included in design plans and tender processes
- Work closely with architects and designers to offer tailored technical solutions and product recommendations that align with their specific project requirements
- Stay ahead of industry trends to offer relevant product innovations and stay top of mind with your client base
- Provide ongoing support to existing accounts, ensuring product specifications are continuously updated and relevant to client needs
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the company’s sales strategies to maximize growth in the architect and designer sectors
Skills and Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in specification sales or a similar role, ideally working with architects, interior designers, and commercial clients
- Strong understanding of the architectural design process and the role of specifications in the project lifecycle
- Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on influencing decision-makers and driving sales through relationship-building
- A proactive and results-driven approach to business development
- Experience working with building products or similar technical industries is highly desirable
