About the role
This is a hands-on role that involves all operational aspects of Walter Cafe management including team leadership, supervision, food and beverage service and budgeting.
Key responsibilities will include:
Continuously improve service excellence and operations through the creation of practices and procedures
Running the floor of the café during shift
Providing effective leadership and development
Focus on staff culture and training
Assist with meeting set financial and business targets
Grand Pacific Group has a high level of experience within the hospitality industry and we are looking for a positive, honest, genuine, team-focused person. We like to work with people who are passionate about encouraging and educating other motivated, highly talented people to do their best!
The role is full time, and does require flexibility in rostering, as we operate over 7 days - however these are mostly days.
Skills and experience
We don't mind showing people the ropes of how we do things, so to fit in and enjoy your time with us, you will ideally bring:
Proven leadership experience (2-4 years) in a similar paced fast paced environment (cafe and a la carte restaurant service)
Exemplary presentation in grooming, presentation & manner
An energetic outlook and be solutions focused
A willingness to learn as much as to teach
Excellent communication skills with a great command of the spoken and written English
The ability to operationally lead and motivate a dynamic team, retain and train staff and maintain a happy work environment.
