About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide clinical practice and professional supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapists to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical. Within a case coordination model, the position delivers high-level and high-quality, evidence based occupational therapy services to adolescents (aged 14-17 years inclusive) with severe and complex mental health disorders requiring hospital-based assessment and treatment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provision of high-level assessment, treatment, risk management, case coordination and discharge facilitation to adolescents and their families/carers who present to an acute inpatient service due to severe and complex mental health problems.
- Engage in varied and complex inter-sectoral linking and liaison with relevant stakeholders and partnerships, including communication and interpretation of complex clinical information to secure the service needs of consumers.
- Provide clinical practice supervision and education to undergraduate and postgraduate occupational therapy students, and HP3 Occupational Therapists to ensure maintenance of professional clinical standards within the service.
- Manage a clinical portfolio or additional team support functions as delegated by Team Leader, including monitoring and reporting on clinical practice and outcomes within the clinical service area to support achievement of key performance indicators.
