About the practice:

A core value of the practice is to prioritise quality of treatment, client care and clinician self-care over client numbers.

While competence in providing shorter term therapy focused on symptomatic relief is essential, there is a strong interest in longer-term work and therapeutic frameworks (schema therapy, attachment based approaches, psychodynamic therapy).

Clinicians are supported to pursue their own interests in terms of professional development.

Individual supervision contributing to the requirements for endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology is available for registrars.

Administrative support is provided.

About the role:

We are seeking psychologists of various levels of seniority to join our team (clinical psychology registrar to senior psychologist).

Individual and group therapy provided, mainly to adults.

You will have the opportunity to work therapeutically with people with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, panic, stress, OCD, trauma, eating disorders, personality difficulties.

Professional development is supported financially, through in house presentations and supervision, and monthly external supervision.

Full time preferred.

Flexible hours available.

Currently most team members work onsite, however, a hybrid option is available.

Remuneration based on qualifications and experience.

Essential Criteria:

Completion (or almost completed) of a Masters or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology.

Full registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.

Have or are willing to obtain a Medicare provider number.

Competence providing evidence-based psychological treatment.

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.

Warm and client-centred approach.

The ability to work autonomously while also being able to connect with colleagues, participate in peer supervision sessions and other team activities.

Organisational, problem-solving and time-management skills.

Interest / training in schema therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy or attachment-focused approaches.

Desirable Criteria:

Endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia, or currently eligible for or undertaking registrar program for endorsement.

Competence using a wide range of psychological therapies (Schema Therapy, IPT, DBT, ACT, DBT, EFT, Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness-based interventions).
