We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Roster Coordinator who shares our values to join the Broome team.
The role is to ensure that all agreed support times based on individual's plans are delivered by a staff member known to and part of the individual's team who has the right skills, competencies and training to provide high quality person centered and culturally appropriate support. Functions of this role also applies to corporate and therapy services in Broome.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Create roster practices that supports participants to live a good life, make good choices & build their capacity so they can live the life they want.
Ensure workers have the capabilities needed for their roles and the work assigned to them.
Develop current and master rosters in advance to ensure service is delivered efficiently and effectively.
Demonstrate understanding of NDIS principles and values in executing daily duties.
Ensure rosters meet SCHADS and HPSS Award provisions.
Support and reinforce a culture that is interested in, responsive to and supportive of diversity and inclusion.
Observe and respond flexibly to the changing needs of Far North Community Services: Be present, pay attention to how the needs of participants and the organisation may change, and respond accordingly.
Schedule opportunity for workers to participate in appropriate training to ensure best practice.
Check and ensure rosters are accurate and approve staff timesheets in preparation for payroll processing.
Essential Requirements
A strong person-centred approach to service delivery.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to work with multiple managers and coordinators.
Ability to prioritise work with minimum supervision.
A minimum of 2 years scheduling experience is required.
Certificate IV level qualification or higher in Human Services, Community Services or Disability Sector is required.
A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than three months old.
NDIS Worker's Screening (or willingness to obtain).
Working with Children Card (or willingness to obtain)
Australian full work rights required at time of application.
