We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Baker/Pâtissier to join our team at Leigh St Bakehouse in Adelaide, SA 5000. As the Head Baker/Pâtissier, you will be responsible for overseeing all baking and pastry production, ensuring the highest quality and consistency of our products. What you'll be doing

Manage and lead the baking and pastry team, providing guidance and mentorship

Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand

Ensure strict quality control and food safety standards are adhered to

Create and innovate new recipes and baked goods to expand our product range

Manage inventory and order ingredients and supplies as needed

Collaborate with the management team to optimise processes and improve efficiency

Train and develop the skills of the baking and pastry team

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years experience as a Head Baker or Pâtissier in a fast-paced commercial environment

Strong background in baking and pastry production, with expertise in a wide range of techniques and recipes

Excellent knowledge of food safety and quality control procedures

Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high standards

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Creativity and innovation in product development

Excellent time management and organisational abilities
