IDEC Solutions is a respected leader in steel fabrication and construction. We are looking for Trade Qualified Boilermakers/Welders and 3rd Year Apprentices to join our Brisbane team.

About the Role:

You’ll be based in our well-equipped Brisbane workshop, fabricating and welding structural steel for a range of exciting projects. Whether you’re fully qualified or nearing the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll be part of a skilled team that values quality, safety, and teamwork.

What We Offer:

Pay rates from $33 to $45 per hour (depending on role and experience)

Weekly pay cycle

Base Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm Friday 6am to 12pm

Approx. 46 hours per week with additional overtime optional

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret workshop and fabrication drawings

Perform compliant GMAW welding on structural steel to Australian Standards.

Maintain a safe and tidy work area

About You:

Trade Boilermakers/Welders

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent

Solid workshop experience in structural steel fabrication

Proficient in GMAW welding

Able to pass weld tests to AS/NZs standards

Reliable, safety-focused, and a team player

Punctual and have a great attendance.

3rd Year Apprentices

Currently completing Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication

Strong foundation in welding and fabrication

Willingness to learn and develop under the guidance of experienced tradespeople

Good attitude and commitment to safety and quality

Punctual and have a great attendance.
