The role

As Financial Controller, you will:

• Take ownership of end-to-end financial management including accounts, budgets, cash flow, payroll, and compliance
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis to the CEO and senior team
• Build and maintain dashboards, financial models, and data insights to drive decision-making
• Oversee payroll through Employment Hero, ensuring compliance with ATO and superannuation requirements
• Manage cash flow, annual budgets, and the external audit process
• Act as system administrator for Xero, Lightyear, Employment Hero, and other key platforms
• Lead contracts and supplier management including utilities, IT, and technical equipment
• Contribute commercially to pricing, cost analysis, and operational improvement initiatives
• Manage and mentor a small finance team, building capability and ensuring high standards

About you

• CPA/CA qualified with 6+ years' finance experience, ideally in hospitality, media or entertainment.
• Skilled in financial reporting, modelling, and dashboards
• Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across all levels
• Confident leader who can coach, develop, and motivate a small team
• Organised and proactive, with the ability to balance pace with accuracy
• Commercially minded, with initiative to identify improvements and support business growth
• Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working in a dynamic, service-driven environment
