The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Senior Engagement Project Officer, to provide a critical role within Corrections Victoria, Workforce and Aboriginal Outcomes.

Corrections Victoria is part of the Corrections and Justice Services group in the Department of Justice and Community Safety. About the Role
The Senior Engagement Project Officer role sits within the Cultural Reform and Workforce Strategy team. The team supports the Corrections Victoria Executive to lead cultural and workforce reform across the prison system to provide a safe and inclusive workplace and key cultural, rehabilitation, transition, and reintegration programs.
The team is responsible for co-ordinating and supporting Corrections Victoria's reform agenda and delivering major reform projects. The Senior Engagement Project Officer is a central resource to support the reform agenda across Corrections Victoria that is embedded in the Cultural Reform and Workforce Strategy team. The position will be expected to understand Corrections Victoria's business, key initiatives and to produce appropriate engagement and communication materials to support initiatives across a wide range of projects, including:
- Implementation of the Correctional Practice Framework
- Refreshing learning and development offerings for custodial staff
- Staff safety initiatives
- Cultural safety initiatives
- Prison Network Reconfiguration
- Cultural uplift.
Some of your duties will include:
- Provide high-quality strategic advice about engaging with Corrections Victoria's workforce on organisational strategy, reform directions and key projects, including the development of a strategic engagement plan
- Provide high-quality engagement advice to senior executives and operational leaders on an as needs basis as issues arise.
- Produce a range of high-quality engagement products across multiple platforms to convey overall vision, key messages and achievements to staff.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience shaping communications that convey long-term reform narratives in a way that has impact.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality communications across a range of mediums, including videos, speaking points, presentations and digital mediums.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Track-record of managing meaningful and audience focused engagement.
- Experience in engaging with operational and geographically diverse workforces, or the ability to quickly acquire that skill based on relevant previous experience.
Qualifications
- A tertiary or equivalent accredited qualification is desirable.
