T.O.P. specialises in the Fabrication & Welding of Piping and Structural Steel components, Tanks/Vessels in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel, working with Gas & Oil, On & off Shore, Power, Paper & Water Industries.

Qualifications & experience

Trade Qualification - minimum Certificate 3

Minimum of 3 years' experience in Boiler-making and Welding.

Candidates must have experience in MIG welding and TIG welding processes.

Sound knowledge of QA processes.

Understand weld ability of Steels and preferable welding experience of exotic steels.

Candidates must have welding experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys.

Experience in Pressure Welding & Pipe Welding.

Ticket 7 & Ticket 8 preferred, but not essential.

Ability to work both autonomously, and as part of a team.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Tasks & responsibilities

Ensure sufficient task analysis are completed to carry work out safely.

Perform assigned duties in a timely and safe manner.

General Welder / Boiler making duties:

Grinding

Cutting

Welding (including high pressure welding)

Fabrication / Pipe Spooling

Keeping components level / accurate to ensure Dimensional critical checks are met.

Tacking

Reading of isometrics

Drilling

Traceability of heat numbers on all fitting and pipe.

Contribute to a positive team environment.

Maintain and use equipment as designed.

Ensure that work is performed as per the current schedule of work as specified by Workshop Supervisor

Ensure all work is carried out safely and to quality and specification requirements.

Adherence to Company policies and procedures.

Please note our company provides services at our Workshop and at the Loy Yang B Power Station - you may be required at either site depending on workloads.
