About the role
Reporting to the National Head of Information Technology, the IT Support Officer will provide day-to-day technical support across our NSW operations, while contributing to national ICT solutions delivery.
Based in St Marys, this role ensures our IT systems, servers, hardware, and infrastructure run smoothly. You’ll be hands-on — supporting end users, troubleshooting issues, maintaining IT assets, and assisting with technology rollouts and special projects across CDC’s sites.
Key Responsibilities
· Troubleshoot issues with PCs, laptops, networks, printers, software, and applications.
· Install, configure, and maintain hardware, mobiles, tablets, and software updates.
· Administer and maintain IT systems, servers, infrastructure, and asset registers.
· Support network security, including virus protection, email/web filters, and DLP.
· Manage CCTV, security systems, and access controls.
· Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure high service standards.
· Contribute to new site setups, projects, and ICT integrations.
· Develop training guides and provide user support.
· Suggest improvements to processes and procedures.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is solutions-focused, approachable, and can communicate effectively with staff at all levels. You’ll have:
· Demonstrated IT administration and support experience.
· Broad exposure to PCs, operating systems, apps, and networks.
· Investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
· Advanced Diploma (or higher) in Information Technology (or related).
· A current driver’s licence (own vehicle advantageous).
· Knowledge of road transport or interest in transport technology (desirable).

In 2005, ComfortDelGro and Cabcharge (CDC) acquired the businesses and assets of the largest bus operator, the Westbus Group in Australia's most populous state, New South Wales. This venture marked ComfortDelGro's entry into the Australian market. Our partner in this venture was Cabcharge Australia Limited who owns 49% of ComfortDelGro Cabcharge Pty Ltd.
In July 2006, CDC acquired bus routes and assets of Holroyd Bus Lines Pty Ltd in the New South Wales' Metropolitan Region 3. A year later, the Group acquired the business and assets of Toronto Bus Services, a bus and coach operator in the Newcastle region of New South Wales. In November 2008, CDC purchased the Kefford Corporation in Victoria. With a fleet of 328 buses and six depots, was the third-largest bus operator in Geelong and Ballarat, in Melbourne.
In September 2012 Deane's Transit Group including Deane's Bus lines was purchased in Queanbeyan NSW and now known as Qcity Transit. Operating in the local areas of Queanbeyan and Canberra, and Transborder Express with services between Yass and Canberra.
