The High Intensity Outside of School Hours Care (OSHC) Manager will apply a depth of knowledge and a broad range of skills to establish, deliver and lead a team of educators to provide after school and vacation care service to benefit the children, families and community of Ashwood School. Ashwood School is a co-educational specialist school for primary and secondary aged students diagnosed with a mild intellectual disability, located in Ashwood.
As the person in day-to-day charge of the service, the High Intensity OSHC Manager is a responsible person under section 162 of the National Law. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service, through managing the administration, budget and operations of the OSHC service, liaising effectively with school staff and leadership to ensure the service delivers effectively to meet community needs.
Leading a team of OSHC Educators, you will be responsible for ensuring the inclusion of all children and young people within the service, including those with additional care needs. Through programming and delivery of the service, you will ensure a safe, healthy and stimulating environment at the service for children and young people aged 5-18 with intellectual disabilities. To do so, you will lead, develop and implement all appropriate service policies and procedures, and ensure continuous quality improvement through reflective practice.
The High Intensity OSHC Manager works directly with the school leadership team to ensure effective communication and collaboration between the service and the school. With experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships, you will apply specialist expertise in the delivery of education and care to work with parents and families to engage with OSHC and build the service.
To develop the team of OSHC Educators, you will provide leadership, training, and development opportunities, and ensure all staff at the service apply appropriate knowledge, training and professional concepts in the supervision and care of children and young people.
In managing the service requires the High Intensity OSHC Manager to work with a high level of professionalism, manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality with minimal supervision.
