Imperial Flooring Australia is Australian owned and a family operated business; specialising in premium timber flooring selections catering to all sectors from residential to commercial projects. With our head office & flooring design showroom based in Yallah (Wollongong) just south of Sydney and our distribution centres distributing flooring packages from Wollongong, Sydney & Melbourne to clients Australia Wide. Imperial Flooring Australia continue to set benchmarks for its clients providing products and services to Australia's leading construction companies; from supply & Install packages to supply only options.

Qualifications & experience

A valid truck driver’s licence, requirement of LR or higher - Preferred / Course will be paid for the right candidate if required.

Proficiency in the use of GPS navigation systems

A clean driving record

Ability to maintain concentration while driving for several hours at a time

Strong knowledge of traffic laws, particularly truck driving rules and regulations

Ability to lift heavy items

Strong time management skills

Ability to work in a team & independently

Be confident, well-groomed and have excellent interpersonal skills

Have high attention to detail, be mature and responsible and have excellent communication skills.

Tasks & responsibilities

Loading and unloading transport vehicles. Maintain correct loading & unloading procedures of all materials.

Delivering customers orders to project sites, commercial premises and residential homes - Heavy lifting will be required.

Assisting the warehouse in all storeman duties.

Assisting our installation teams on projects sites for materials & any collections on completion of jobs.

Maintaining documentation, including logs and delivery runs.

Packaging customer orders and preparing shipments + inhouse jobs.

Assisting our admin team.

Delivering excellent customer service.

Deliveries are daily to Sydney, Wollongong & Illawarra regions - Outer regions will be required at times Eg Canberra, Goulburn, Central Coast & Newcastle.
