About the role
Join a dynamic and dedicated team within SA Pathology as an Anatomical Pathology Consultant based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). In this vital role, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective surgical pathology and cytology services, supporting both hospital laboratories and private practitioners. You’ll play a key role in diagnostic service provision including mortuary services, participate in quality assurance programs, and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimise pathology outcomes for South Australians.
Beyond clinical excellence, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to the training and education of undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as support the development of pathology research initiatives. Working within a collaborative environment, you will be supported by a team of experienced pathologists and medical scientists, all committed to the advancement of diagnostic services and education across CALHN.
About You
You will be a highly skilled specialist with experience in surgical pathology and cytology, who thrives in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. Your strong communication skills and diagnostic expertise will support efficient service delivery and educational excellence.
Registered Medical Practitioner with appropriate Specialist registration with AHPRA.
Demonstrated expertise and experience in surgical pathology and cytology, including the ability to meet turnaround times and work under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across clinical and laboratory teams.
Appointment is subject to relevant vaccination and clearance requirements.
