Are you a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic OTA to join our dynamic and supportive team in our residential aged care facility.

The Role:
As an OTA, you will work closely with and under the direction of our Occupational Therapist to implement and support individual and group therapy programs. Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the delivery of therapeutic interventions to improve residents' functional abilities, including fine and gross motor skills, cognitive function, and daily living activities.
Conducting group activities that promote social engagement, physical activity, and cognitive stimulation.
Assisting with the assessment and provision of adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance independence and safety.
Documenting therapy sessions and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physiotherapists, and care staff, to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
What We Are Looking For:
Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience working as an OTA, preferably in an aged care or rehabilitation setting.
A strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by older adults.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to promoting well-being.
Current First Aid and CPR certification (desirable).
National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
Valid driving license
