Kidi Kingdom is a vibrant, family-owned child care provider with 3 centres across Coomera, Pimpama, and Springfield. We care for children aged 6 weeks to 13 years, offering long day care, before and after school care, and school holiday/vacation care. Our ‘whole child’ philosophy nurtures academic, social, emotional, and physical development in a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment. We provide nourishing, healthy meals and snacks for up to 75 wonderful children in our care each day.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a devoted Cook to join our Coomera Centre.

Permanent Part-Time position available

As a Cook at Kidi Kingdom, you will:

Plan and prepare a healthy selection of age/ child-appropriate meals and snacks Monday - Friday each week.

Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene to the highest food safety standards.

Uphold regular food stock control and records management.

Work with management to develop wholesome and creative menus based on children’s dietary needs, including compliance for any allergies or intolerances.

Build collaborative, positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.

This role could also integrate with an early childhood educator role or similar should the successful applicant also hold the appropriate qualifications.

What We're Looking For

A passion for nutritious, child-friendly home style cooking, farm to plate where possible.

A genuine interest in early learning and creating positive outcomes for children, helping them to develop a love for the wonder of natural foods.

Previous experience as a Chef in an early childhood or similar setting is an advantage.

Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (will assist with this if need be)

Knowledge of food safety standards and experience with compliance.

Skills in menu planning, budgeting, and record keeping.

Excellent communication, time-management, and organisational skills.

Current Blue Card (Working with Children) and National Police Check.

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) preferred.

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Child Protection and Anaphylaxis certificates are an advantage.
