Role: Data Engineer

Location: Melbourne CBD (Hybrid)

Full Time Permanent Position

This is an exciting opportunity to own and lead the data engineering function within a retail-driven business environment. You’ll be the go-to expert, building pipelines, shaping the platform, and ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and ready to drive business performance.

What you’ll be doing:

Designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure high-quality data flow across the organisation.

Working with Snowflake as the core data platform, alongside SQL Server and cloud-based tools.

Partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data that directly drives performance.

Owning the end-to-end data engineering function, ensuring everything is right-first-time.

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong skills in Snowflake, SQL, and ETL/SSIS.

Strong coding experience in Python (or similar).

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Solid understanding of data modelling, governance, and the importance of accuracy in business-critical environments.

Experience working as the sole Data Engineer in a function, or leading the development of a data capability.

Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work independently with senior stakeholders.

Retail industry experience is highly regarded.

What’s on offer:

Salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 + super.

Hybrid working – 2 days onsite per week.
