About Us

Greater Hume Council is a large rural Council with a focus on responsibility, growth and sustainability. We are based in southern New South Wales, right near the Murray River, bordering Victoria and the local government areas of Albury, Federation, Lockhart, Snowy Valleys and Wagga Wagga Councils. Our offices are dispersed across Holbrook, Culcairn and Jindera, all a short drive to the shore of Lake Hume.

We offer a broad range of services such as swimming pools, libraries and early year's services through to waste collection, planning permits and major capital works development. Council operates four (4) long day care centres across the communities of Culcairn, Henty, Holbrook and Walla Walla, plus three (3) Out of School Hours Care and Vacation Care Programs in Culcairn, Henty and Holbrook. Greater Hume's Centre philosophies encompass Nature Pedagogy and are surrounded by beautiful, engaging environments.

The Position

Greater Hume Children Services is seeking enthusiastic and confident individuals to join our Out of School Hours (OSHC) team. If you enjoy working with school aged children and can deliver engaging, diverse activities in a fun and safe environment, we would love to hear from you!

Locations: Positions are available at our Holbrook service.

Flexible Work Options:

• Before and After School Care: Choose to work split shifts or just a morning or afternoon shift; and
• Vacation Care: Full-day shifts (up to 8 hours) during NSW school holidays.

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years of age;
• Hold a current Working with Children Check Clearance;
• Hold a current National Police Check that is no more than six (6) months old;
• Hold a current Child Protection Certificate; and
• Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate in Educational Care.

• Casual employment at a competitive hourly rate of $41.00 gross (including 25% casual loading and applicable allowances);
