- Salary ranges from $112,203.58 – 125,554 pro rata plus super (Band 7).

A bit about the role
This role will contribute to the development of sustainable infrastructure management in the City of Casey by supervising and delivering Building Infrastructure projects.
You will collaborate with the Building Design and Construction team to manage resources and oversee major building construction programs.
What you’ll deliver
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor contractors' compliance with contractual specifications and OHS regulations for major building infrastructure projects
- Manage day-to-day progress of construction projects within the City of Casey
- Assist in design development, reviewing architectural and services packages
- Integrate architectural projects with urban design, landscape architecture, and civil design disciplines
- Ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to high standards
Stakeholder and Communication Responsibilities:
- Serve as a single point of contact and decision-maker for contractors.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholder groups.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and track project progress using Altus system.
Operational Duties:
- Monitor projects through site visits, audits, and compliance assessments
- Evaluate design plans for integrity and policy conformity
Leadership Expectations:
- Demonstrate leadership within and outside the division
- Provide guidance and support to team members
- Encourage continuous improvement and professional development
What you’ll bring
- Architectural Design & Building Experience: Tertiary qualification in Architecture or Building Design, with demonstrated experience in designing council buildings (e.g., Community Centres, Sports Pavilions, Kindergartens), including both new builds on greenfield sites and renewals/extensions of existing structures.
- Project & Consultant Management: Proven ability to manage significant capital works projects, including tender development, contract administration, and coordination of specialist consultants (structural, civil, services, and ESD).
- Stakeholder Engagement & Presentation: Experience presenting architectural designs to user groups and Council stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and community needs.
- Technical & Software Proficiency: High-level expertise in interpreting architectural, structural, and services documentation, with experience in project management software and financial tools like OneCouncil.
- Construction White Card.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check & Eligibility to Work check.
