We are a small, family owned business, located in Narre Warren. The business is well established and has been in operation for 40+ years. We repair and service all makes and models. We also hold a Roadworthy inspection license. We pride ourselves on our honest and down to earth customer service.

About the role

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Servicing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles,

Carry out complex tasks, i.e. timing belts & chains, cylinder head repairs etc.

Diagnosing and resolving a wide range of issues and faults,

Assisting with customer queries both in person and over the phone (when required),

Undertaking automotive training and keeping abreast of industry trends and techniques,

Calling suppliers to source parts and pricing,

Overseeing the running of the workshop (at times),

Being responsible for the care and use of all workshop tools and equipment and returning to the correct place after use,

Returning vehicles in a clean condition after repairs,

Assisting in keeping the workshop clean and in an orderly appearance,

Working hours Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm and Saturday (once a month) 8-12pm.

Skills and experience

To be successful for this position, it is essential that you have/are:

Knowledge of experience with a variety of makes and models of vehicles,

Diagnostic skills,

Effective time management skills,

Work well in a team environment as well as autonomously,

Well presented, punctual and responsible,

A keen eye for detail and pride in your individual work,

Good communication skills and a friendly disposition,

Be able to write clearly,

Have basic computer skills,

Show initiative,

Hold a Cert III (Motor Mechanic) Trade Qualification with 5+ years experience in the trade and your own tools,

RWC license an advantage (but not necessary),

A current Australian Driver's License.
