About You!

The successful candidate will have:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting (B.Com, B.Bus with an Accounting Major) or similar
• Working towards or completed CA/CPA qualification
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, in person)
• Deep understanding of cloud based software and apps
• Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
• Have the ability to multitask and prioritise your workload
• Possess high attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate, quality work and be a natural problem solver

What you’ll be doing

You will be working directly alongside the Managing Director to support a variety of initiatives, continuous improvement projects and other elements within the firm.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of financial statements and BAS for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
• Assisting with business advisory services and conducting client meetings
• Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies
• Supporting the growth and mentoring of other team members
• Research and development for ongoing process improvement
• Using accounting software such as Xero & MYOB
• Networking and business development

In short, you’ll be helping our clients ensure the statutory/regulatory requirements are met and that they’re not ‘out of bounds’ in terms of their responsibilities to the ATO, ASIC, Workers Compensation, and so on.
