All Cast NT manufactures precast concrete products in Darwin NT, and is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Officer to join our team. We are committed to fostering a hands-on culture of safety and excellence, and the successful candidate will play a critical role in both our on-site safety and the management of our HSE administration.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced safety professional who is passionate about maintaining a daily, on-the-ground presence and directly working with our team, while also being proficient in the critical administrative tasks that support our safety initiatives.

The position advertised is for a 6 month contract, with potential to become full time.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a daily presence on the ground, working directly with the production and on-site teams to identify and mitigate risks in real-time.

Manage all administration for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping.

Maintain and build on the company's Health and Safety Management System.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.

Provide practical advice, guidance, and training to staff on safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near misses, and report on findings and corrective actions.

Ensure all safety-related documentation, including risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and reports, are accurate and up-to-date.

About You:

Trade background highly regarded, with practical experience in a similar manufacturing or construction environment.

You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar Safety Officer role.

You are a proactive and hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

You are highly organised and proficient in managing administrative tasks related to HSE.

You hold a relevant qualification in Work Health and Safety (e.g., Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS).

You possess a strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and codes of practice.

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence a positive safety culture.

You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
