We are currently seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our growing nursery team as a Horticultural Chemical Applicator based in our nursery in Skye. This role involves the targeted application of chemical sprays, as well as supporting general nursery operations such as bench moving, unstacking, and sorting product.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in chemical handling in horticultural environments and a commitment to safe, efficient practices. Full PPE and comprehensive training will be provided.

Employment type: Full time Monday to Friday

Hours: 7.5 hours/day, 5 days/week (Flexible between 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM depending on weather and light conditions)

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct targeted chemical spraying on crops and nursery stock for 2 to 4 hours per day

· Operate and maintain various spraying equipment, including boom sprayers, knapsack sprayers, and mobile spray units

· Keep accurate records of chemical use, application areas, weather conditions, and compliance logs

· Ensure full compliance with chemical handling protocols, PPE usage, and relevant safety and environmental legislation

· Perform general nursery duties, including unstacking, sorting, and stock movement as directed

About You:

· Prior experience in horticultural chemical application (preferred)

· Current Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP) or willingness to obtain

· Flexibility to work varying hours based on weather/light conditions (with short notice)

· Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety and compliance

· Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

· Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
