About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to ensure ongoing clinical safety, service continuity at STARS and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement, medicines stewardship and value-based, patient-centred healthcare. Support medicines safety activities, including incident review, audit and reporting, stock shortage and recall management, medicines safety education and training across STARS, and digital workflow optimisation to support safe medication management.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Facilitate a patient safety ethos with all employees within STARS to achieve an organisational culture in which patient safety and clinical risk management is an integral part of core business.
- Consult, negotiate and maintain relationships with senior health professionals and other stakeholders across various disciplines to deliver successful outcomes through effective collaboration, issues resolution and change influence.
- Act as a contact point and facilitator for multi-site auditing and collaborative improvement activities.
- Provide advice and assistance to multidisciplinary health professional staff about principles of medicine stewardship, relevant policies and procedures, and promote quality use of medicines, medicine safety principles, and the role of the pharmacist within the hospital.
