WHO WE ARE
Rogue Bistro is Newstead's OG neighbourhood restaurant offering a relaxed 5-course degustation menu that changes monthly. Known for our range of dego menus that cater to most dietary requirements, our intention has always been simple: to offer an inviting, welcoming approach to fine dining, offering thoughtful food executed with precision.
Right next door, we run our sister venue, The Refinery, one of Brisbane’s best wedding venues. Across both spaces, our team brings years of hospitality and event experience to deliver food and service at the highest level.
We are a tight-knit team that hustles with the goal of being the best in everything we do, but most importantly maintaining a friendly work environment and a positive work culture.
AVAILABLE ROLES
We're on the hunt for new crew to join our dream team! Multiple roles available (listed below) or we can chat about a hybrid position tailored to your skills and interests.
With immediate starts available, we’re offering 15–38 hours per week with opportunities to work at Rogue Bistro, The Refinery, or a mix of both.
Section Waiter
Look after your own section with warm, attentive service
Take orders, run food & drinks, and handle payments
Build rapport with guests and ensure a smooth dining experience
Clear and reset tables promptly
Work closely with the team to deliver seamless service
Dispense Bartender
Serve cocktails, wine, beer & spirits with confidence
Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organised bar
Polish glassware
Pre-batch cocktails, prep garnishes
Provide friendly, efficient service to guests
Support the FOH team during busy service
Food Runner
Run food and drinks promptly to guests
Clear and reset tables efficiently
Support waitstaff to keep service flowing
Event F&B Staff
Supporting small-large scale weddings and events at The Refinery
Run food and drinks (canapés, plated, tray service)
Top up wine, water, and assist with bar service
Help with set-up, pack-down, and smooth service during event formalities
Deliver friendly, attentive guest service at all times
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Availability across Wednesday-Sunday (afternoon til night)
Previous experience in a similar role/environment
Someone well-presented and personable
Someone with a keen interest in food and wine
Exceptional time management and communication skills

Restaurant Industry Food & Beverage Level 2 Award Rates (Rogue)
Hospitality Award Level 2 Award Rates (The Refinery) with the opportunity for Level 3 Award Rates
