Are you an experienced Technical Business Analyst seeking an opportunity to support high-impact data and analytics initiatives within the Commonwealth government?

Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government agency to find a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst.

Our client is a data-centric agency focused on Australian health data, playing a crucial role in informing health policy and improving outcomes for all Australians through comprehensive data collection, analysis, and reporting. This role offers the chance to contribute to transforming complex technical concepts into clear, actionable documentation that drives successful health data initiatives and analytics projects.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be the bridge between technical complexity and business clarity, creating comprehensive documentation that supports data and analytics initiatives. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives on technical writing and enjoys creating structure from complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create technical and process documentation with accuracy and consistency across all project phases.
• Translate stakeholder discussions and high-level input into clear, actionable requirements and deliverable artefacts.
• Prepare comprehensive POC, Pilot, and RFQ documentation including scope, objectives, success criteria, and technical specifications.
• Develop tender packs with functional and technical requirements, architecture diagrams, and current/future state documentation.
• Perform detailed gap analysis and document processes, systems, data flows, and integration points (ETL, APIs, Cloud).
• Support rollout readiness through data migration documentation, transition planning, and comprehensive handover artefacts.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated expertise in technical documentation and visualisation tools, particularly Visio and Confluence
• Proven experience in business analysis with a strong focus on technical documentation creation and maintenance
• Solid understanding of data and analytics concepts including Data lakes, Reporting tools, ETL processes, APIs, metadata, and cloud platforms
• Exceptional attention to detail with structured approach to complex technical requirements gathering
• Strong capability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience creating technical artefacts such as process maps, swim-lane diagrams, data flow diagrams, and integration specifications
