About the role

Illumident Mount Gambier is seeking a talented and experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in Mount Gambier, SA. This is a casual position, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting our dental practice's clinical operations and enhancing the patient experience.

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists and oral health practitioners during procedures by anticipating their needs and providing the necessary instruments and materials

Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment

Greeting patients, managing patient flow, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including charting and documentation

Coordinating the clinical schedule and supporting the dental team

Providing exceptional customer service and addressing patient inquiries and concerns

Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical processes

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar Clinical Coordinator Role

Demonstrated proficiency in chairside assisting, instrument sterilisation, and patient record management

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and the dental team

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities and maintain a smooth workflow

Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for the dental profession

Flexibility to work within a team and adapt to the changing needs of the practice
