About the Program
Supported by experienced professionals together with external qualifications our Cadet Project Officer (PO) program develops people to have the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to pursue exciting careers within SA Power Networks. Our POs work with external customers and internal stakeholders to deliver new customer connections, asset relocations, and extensions of our Network. To deliver this critical work our POs undertake tasks such as scoping, designing, estimating and project approvals, delivering great customer outcomes while ensuring the infrastructure reliability is maintained.
Our program offers a unique opportunity, promoting work/life balance and diversity in a dynamic and growing industry. As a Cadet PO, you will build on your expertise with a nationally recognised qualification in electrical engineering while developing valuable on-the-job skills and experience in a supportive environment. In addition, cadets undertake an internal training program covering essential PO skills and various work and safety related training modules.
Throughout the program you will be based at numerous locations (through planned rotations) in both metro, outer metro depots and at our Keswick headquarters.
Upon successful completion of the program, Cadet POs will be well-suited candidates for Project Officer and Powerline Design positions, among others.
