Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking to deliver exceptional engineering projects? We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring projects are executed with precision, quality, and within specified timeframes, all while maintaining compliance with Australian standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

Prepare, schedule, and coordinate assigned engineering projects.

Monitor compliance with Australian codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.

Develop project schedules, plans, and budgets while ensuring adherence to scope and objectives.

Bid Coordination

Manage project bid processes, including preparing and distributing bid documents, tracking subcontractor bids, and verifying submissions.

Assist with bid evaluations and recommendations for contract awards.

Quality Assurance

Oversee overall quality control, including budgets, timelines, plans, and personnel performance.

Conduct regular reporting on project progress and provide recommendations to the Project Director.

Documentation & Administration

Manage project documentation, including cost reporting, purchase orders, and invoices.

Track and forecast project costs, reconcile progress claims, and handle subcontractor payments.

Ensure insurance certificates are compliant and up to date.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with the Project Manager, Project Director, and other stakeholders to provide technical support and assistance.

Liaise with clients to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.

Facilitate subcontractor meetings and maintain detailed meeting records.

Project Delivery & Technical Oversight

Source materials, estimate costs, and coordinate design and shop drawings.

Develop and monitor QA and WHS documentation (e.g., ITPs and safety documents).

Monitor material usage to minimise waste and address any shortages promptly.

Review engineering deliverables and implement corrective actions as required.

Cost Control & Reporting

Prepare and present monthly cost reports to the Project Director and Commercial Manager.

Manage project expenditures and oversee contract variations.

Ensure timely and accurate progress claims, invoicing, and reconciliations.
