Are you passionate about using qualitative research to inform meaningful change in disability supports? A government branch focused on disability evidence is seeking up to three skilled staff to assist with the analysis of public consultation data.

About the Role
You’ll be working with structured and unstructured qualitative data collected through public consultations. This role spans the full data cycle—from transcription and data organisation to coding, synthesis, and reporting. Your insights will contribute to high-level decision-making in the disability sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio/video submissions using manual or approved automated tools, ensuring accuracy
• Organise data for analysis using spreadsheets or qualitative software (e.g., NVivo)
• Code qualitative data, generate codes, and identify themes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure rigorous and consistent analysis
• Synthesise findings from consultation feedback
• Support reporting and data visualisation through summaries, charts, and presentations

Key Capabilities

• Proven experience in qualitative research methodologies
• Background in health and/or disability research highly desirable
• Proficiency in thematic analysis and qualitative software (e.g., NVivo)
• Strong understanding of bias in qualitative analysis and mitigation strategies
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills

Positions are available across Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide with hybrid flexibiility negotiable. APS6 rates apply based on experience - $63 - $71 per hour + super.
The work will be conducted from mid-October 2025 to April 2026, with a break of 2 weeks over the Christmas/New Year period. Applicants will be required across full-time business hours (37.5 hours per week)
