About the role

We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you. Located in Cannon Hill, we are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to support our male client in his early 60's who has a brain injury. Our client also needs behavioural support. You will be assisting our client with all ADL's, community access, food prep & all daily supports. 2:1 support for manual handling tasks with client. AM & PM shifts available 7 days a week. Shift times are 0700-1400 & 1330-1930.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Manual handling
• Personal care
• Continence management
• Medication administration
• Domestic assistance
• Rehabilitation exercises
• Community Access
• Behavioural support

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
• Manual handling experience (essential)
• Personal care experience
• Current First aid and CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening Card
• Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
