Concord is green, leafy, suburb in Sydney's inner west. The practice is located conveniently just off the main shopping strip of Majors Bay Rd, opposite a expansive park and has plenty of parking.

We are a general practice committed to caring for our local community with strong work ethics and values, providing a high level of patient service and care. Our medical practice was established over 18 years ago. We strive to provide quality medical care. In order to do this, we have created a caring yet efficient practice.

We strongly believe in working together for comprehensive healthcare. We have nine doctors with 2-4 doctors consulting at any given time. We have a part time nurse and wish to employ another to complement this work. Must be available on Mondays and some afternoons. All our staff have been with us long term. We are seeking someone looking for stable, long term work, committed to delivering high level health care and willing to work as part of a friendly team in supporting care for our community.

About the role:

You will be expected to be comfortable to work both independently and as a team member, in:

Care Plan Coordination

Chronic disease management

Immunisation of babies,children and adults

Valid immunisation certification is required at commencement of employment.

Assisting with the management of Recalls and Reminders

Maintaining clinical records using Best Practice, and performing clinical audits

Triage

ECGs

Pathology collection

Cold Chain management

Infection control

Wound management

Assisting with Accreditation processes

Administration including booking appointments and billing if required

We offer a casual, part time role (approx 8-20 hours). Need to be able to work on Mondays and some afternoons. We are seeking caring and efficient member interested in joining our friendly team in long term and stable employment.

We are a busy practice, with modern equipment and a potential to provide a wide range of patient services. There is plenty of scope to improve skills or procedures, and patient care. We would actively encourage workers to explore interests and skills

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a some knowledge of general practice nursing, and confident in working with a range of patients. Needs to be well presented, a good communicator, time efficient and organised.

Comfortable and friendly in the handling theimmunisation of babies and children, caring for the elderly and dealing with difficult patients.

Have good communication skills, to be competent in the use of computers, medical software (Best Practice). Have experience in preparation of Care Plans and Health Assessments would be valuable.

Experience with Best Practice medical software is preferred, however training will be provided to suitable candidates.

Willing to work as part of a team.

Current professional indemnity insurance is required at commencement of employment.

A current Police Check (National Police Certificate) obtained within the last 12 months is required.
