Fixed Term Early Childhood Teacher – Term 4
St Francis Xavier Kindergarten, Goodna

We’re seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher for a fixed-term, part-time role (35 hours/week) from 7 October to 5 December. Hours are 8:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Join our small, close-knit kindergarten located on-site at St Francis Xavier Primary School, licensed for just 22 children.

Our program supports school readiness through weekly library visits, buddy time with older students, and participation in school events. Children also explore the school grounds, learning practical skills such as using water bubblers, navigating walk/run areas —building confidence along the way.

This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a supportive learning environment and help young children thrive as they take their first steps into formal education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment
• Day to day operations of the kindergarten service including administrations tasks
• Delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
• Work collaboratively within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
• Participate in professional and personal development
• Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Catholic Early EdCare

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines
• Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) from the Queensland Government
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Law/Regulations.
• Conversant with Early Years Learning Framework & the QLD Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
• Ability to be the Nominated Supervisor for the service
• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
