After School & Holiday Care Mackay is a not-for-profit service overseen by a volunteer parent association located in East Mackay. The service provides Before School Care, After School Care and Holiday care for up to 50 children per session aging 5-12years servicing 3 schools. About the Role:

Reporting to the Coordinator you will be an Educator who will respond to children’s strengths, interests, and needs by assisting in implementing and providing a diverse, stimulating and inclusive program.

Your main Responsibilities will be;

Ensuring all children are actively supervised at all times

Ensuring safe food handling and hygiene practices are upheld at all times

Sharing your creativity with the whole team

Building positive relationships with children and families

Light cleaning duties

Set up and pack up of the centres activities

Games, crafts, arts and cooking activities

Our Casual employment offers split shifts allowing flexibility to study, work and still have time for family and hobbies.

About you:

Minimum of a Cert III in Early Childhood Education & Care, or a Diploma of Children's Services (or be working towards one)

A genuine passion for children, nurturing approach, caring, supporting and proactive attitude

Experience working within After School Care/Childcare sector desirable

Hold a Paid Working with Children check/Blue Card (or able to obtain)

Hold current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain)

Availability Morning and Afternoons: Monday to Friday (All day available during vacation care program)
