Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Lead and manage a small professional team providing oversight of a supply network in support of our marine operations.
- Provide strategic, operational and tactical procurement advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the development of a strategic approach to the engagement of marine supplies including associated contract and procurement management activities for the unit.
- Prepare high-level policy papers, submissions, briefs and reports on complex acquisition-related issues and initiatives.
- Coordinate and manage ‘end-to-end' significant marine fleet procurement projects in cooperation with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed.
- Lead the analysis of procurement patterns, supplier performance, and key industry markets.
- Create a working environment that encourages teamwork and empower individual staff to seek challenges, develop skills and achieve results.
Role Requirements
Qualification
- Relevant contract and procurement qualifications would be highly regarded.
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
- Experience in a contract management role within the public service and/or marine sectors as well as experience in leading complex supplier arrangements will be highly regarded.
Other
- Government procurement policies and experience will be highly regarded.
