re you a compassionate and dedicated support worker looking to make a real difference? We’re seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team and support a young participant living with Prader Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored care and help enhance the life of someone truly special.

About the Role:

You’ll be supporting a complex participant in Doncaster with a variety of Supported Independent Living Tasks and meaningful activities, including:

Assisting with appointments, daily routines, and mealtimes

Personal care (showering, dressing)

Engaging in fun and enriching activities like swimming, library visits, cinema trips, and zoo outings

Implementing strategies from allied health professionals, including the implementation of a behaviour support plan

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver person-centred support aligned with NDIS goals

Facilitate social and community engagement

Provide personal care in a respectful and dignified manner

Follow individual support plans and therapy strategies

Maintain accurate progress notes and report incidents as required

Collaborate with families, team members, and healthcare professionals

Qualifications & Requirements:

Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent (essential)

NDIS Worker Screening Check (mandatory)

Working With Children Check (mandatory)

Experience with intellectual disabilities, ASD, ADHD, OCD, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Fragile X, or Angelman Syndrome is highly desirable

Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting others

Regular hours (can be flexible with shifts, approx 50 hours a fortnight) (Hours between 4pm - 6am Mon-Sunday every week)
