Dunns Earthmoving is seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our maintenance team in the Cooper Basin, South Australia. This is a FIFO role on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster, with day work only.

In this position, you will be responsible for welding repairs and fabrication tasks essential to maintaining our fleet of heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform welding repairs and fabrication on heavy road transport vehicles and earthmoving equipment

Carry out MIG, TIG, stick, oxy/acetylene welding with steel, stainless steel, and alloys

Conduct air arc gouging, plasma cutting, and lancing as required

Read and interpret engineering drawings and plans

Work autonomously to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality workmanship

Maintain a safe working environment and comply with company procedures and policies

Demonstrate a proactive approach and a strong commitment to safety

Experience and Attributes

Experience in mining or civil engineering environments, particularly with heavy vehicles and earthmoving equipment

Skilled in welding and metal fabrication across various techniques and materials

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Flexible and adaptable to roster changes when required

Minimum Requirements

Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Boilermaking/Welding/Fabrication

White Card

Current driver’s licence (car)

National Police Clearance (within last 3 months)

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening

Senior First Aid Certificate (Apply First Aid)

HR Truck Licence (highly regarded, but not essential)
