Complete Staff Solutions are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join the Water & Wastewater team. This role involves maintenance and repair of treatment plants, pump stations, and machinery, while supporting apprentices and contributing to safe, efficient operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs on water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, heavy and small plant, and associated equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and pumps.

Operate plant and equipment safely and conduct pre-start checks.

Participate in the on-call roster, including weekends and after-hours work.

Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Complete records, reports, timesheets, and WHS documentation accurately.

Mentor and support apprentices and labour hire staff.

Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and procedures.

Essential:

Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.

Extensive experience in plant and machinery maintenance and repair.

Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, and plant operation.

White Card (Construction Induction).

Current immunisation against Hepatitis A & B (or willingness to participate).

Class C manual driver licence with a safe driving record.

Digital literacy, including competence with tablets/phones for work use.

Ability and willingness to work on-call as rostered.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Understanding of WHS, risk management, and environmental practices.

Desirable:

Welding and fabrication experience.

Experience in water/wastewater treatment plant operations.

Supervisory experience with apprentices/contractors.

MR Licence, Forklift, Confined Spaces, and/or Working at Heights tickets.
