Protech is currently seeking two experienced Core Logging Geologists to join our client — a growing, ASX-listed gold producer and development company, for their Exploration and Underground Core Yard Teams. Operating both established and emerging assets, our client is actively expanding their footprint at a key gold project located in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. This position is offered on a FIFO 8:6 Roster.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Date Rate $800
• 8:6 Roster
• Day Shift Only
• ASAP Start
• 12 hours days worked/paid
• 4-6 months with potential extension/ongoing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in producing high-quality geological logging of GC diamond core, including plan and section interpretation
• Support the interpretation of the deposit’s structure, lithology, alteration, and mineralisation through detailed face and wall mapping, sampling, and core logging
• Collect structural measurements from face, wall, backs mapping, and core logging
• Work collaboratively with the Technical and Mining teams to deliver the daily plan

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Tertiary qualification: Bachelor of Science (Geology) or equivalent from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience using mining software such as Micromine, Leapfrog, and Geobank (DESIRED)
• Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations
• Current WA manual driver’s licence
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Skilled in computer use and data entry
• Highly safety-conscious with a proven commitment to safe work practices
• Effective team player, capable of working collaboratively in small crews
• Senior First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
