A rare opportunity...no weekend or evening work! Are you passionate about preparing nutritious meals and creating a warm, welcoming environment for children? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef to join our early childhood team! We are offering a contracted position, with the opportunity for permanent placement based on performance and fit.

About the Role:
As our centre's Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our children (0-5yrs) by preparing daily meals and snacks that are healthy, balanced, and in line with dietary guidelines. You'll work closely with our educators and leadership team to plan seasonal menus, accommodate dietary requirements, and help promote positive food experiences for children.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Planning and preparing morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea

Catering for allergies, intolerances, and cultural food preferences

Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and organised kitchen environment in accordance with food handling and food safety guidlines

Ordering and managing food supplies

Ensuring compliance with all recommended nutrition guidelines

Encouraging children to enjoy a variety of foods supporting children's involvment in suitable cooking activities

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience in a similar role (preferably in an early childhood setting), planning menus for children

Has a genuine respect for children and a commitment to their wellbeing

Holds a Cert 111 in Commercial Cookery and current Food Handling and Food Safety Supervisor Certificates

Has or able to obtain a Working With Children Check

Has or able to obtain a First Aid Certificate, including allergy and anaphylaxis

Is well presented, physically fit and capable

Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently

Can work effectively as part of a cooperative team
