Your role at St John of God Accord
We are seeking to appoint a part-time, fixed term Project Nurse Educator to help support us to deliver on data and service enhancements connected to projects in our Supported Independant Living services. This position is an integral part of Accord's successful delivery of an externally funded quality enhancement project and will ensure that all health-related project deliverables and reporting obligations are met.
The Project Nurse Educator is responsible for the delivery, assessment and evaluation of training programs for caregivers. The role will work collaboratively with Accord's SIL leaders, caregivers, clients and their chosen health professionals.
This role reports is part of our Practice Leadership team and reports directly to our CEO. The role will be instrumental in providing lasting quality and service impacts for our clients and caregivers.
The Position
- Liaise with caregivers and leaders from Accord's SIL services included in the project scope, to gather data relating to client health support needs, and quality service outcomes.
- Liaise with clients' chosen health professionals to contribute to the development of specific Health Management Plans (HMP) to meet each client's health needs.
- Deliver training to direct support teams in the application of the HMP in the SIL home setting.
- Uses adult learning principles when facilitating learning.
- Identify and refine a set of standardised health related templates for Accord's SIL services
- Develop and implement risk assessments that assists in the identification of health deterioration of SIL clients.
- Work collaboratively with Allied Health Practitioners, GP's, Specialists and SIL caregivers to ensure health support strategies are implemented and understood by those administering them.
- Review all relevant policies and procedures and update as required.
Position Requirements
You will be a dedicated and experienced professional, currently registered as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience.
You will demonstrate a working knowledge of the disability sector and the NDIS landscape, and a commitment to our clients and to supporting teams with the tools and knowledge needed to meet client health needs.
Successful applicants will hold a current Australian driver's licence, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, and Working With Children Check.

We can offer you
- A part-time flexible arrangement within 0.6 FTE, for a fixed term until 30/6/2026 with opportunity for possible extension/ permanent position.
- Salary (based on experience): $114,310 to $120,326 plus 12% Superannuation (0.6 FTE role - salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis)
