About the Role
As a Field Technician, you will provide essential field support to Exploration Geologists, ensuring exploration activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. The role involves drill sample collection, core processing, site preparation and rehabilitation, data collection and entry, as well as other tasks as directed.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure geologists and drill contractors have the required field supplies to complete daily activities
• Collect drilling and surface geochemical samples in line with best practice procedures and the company’s QAQC protocols
• Record, organise, and dispatch samples to the laboratory with accuracy and attention to detail
• Collect and record pXRF, ASD, and other geophysical data in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage storage of chip trays, core trays, sample pulps, and consumables at field sites
• Mark out drill sites and access routes as directed
• Assist with supervision of drill site earthworks, including site preparation and rehabilitation to statutory and company standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Field Technician or similar role, ideally in mining and/or remote site work
• Proficiency in GPS usage and map reading
• Strong attention to detail, with effective time management and organisational skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
