We’re seeking motivated individuals based in Karratha to assist a WA Government department with an invasive pest response project. This is a hands-on field role requiring physical fitness and strong teamwork.

Location: Karratha (Local Applicants Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm
Pay Rate: $43.50 per hour + super

Key Responsibilities

Field Surveillance – Conduct monitoring activities in remote, rugged areas; includes extended hiking in challenging Pilbara conditions carrying up to 10kg of equipment.

Teamwork & Communication – Work collaboratively, follow instructions, and provide regular updates.

Equipment Use – Operate and maintain monitoring equipment.

Safety & Compliance – Follow safety protocols, attend pre-starts, and perform risk assessments.

National Police Clearance

WA Driver’s Licence

Pre-employment Medical Clearance

Remote/First Aid Certificate (desirable)

Essential Skills

Physically capable of extended hiking in harsh terrain

Strong team player with clear communication skills

Able to follow procedures and safety guidelines precisely
