About the role

We are seeking motivated Health and Physical Education Teachers (P-10) to join our vibrant school community at Caloundra City Private School in Pelican Waters, Queensland. This is a contract role, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students from Prep to Year 10.

Term 4 Contract (0.7FTE) possibility of ongoing for the right candidate. Technology and Innovation as a second teaching and learning area highly favorable.

What you'll be doing

Design and deliver engaging Health and Physical Education lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students

Implement the school's curriculum and assessment frameworks to support the development of students' physical, mental and social wellbeing

Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to help students achieve their learning goals

Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall curriculum planning and development within the department

Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to participate actively and develop a lifelong love of physical activity

Undertake other duties as required to support the broader school community

What we're looking for

Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration or eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers

Demonstrated experience in teaching Health and Physical Education at the primary and middle secondary level

Strong content knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate key concepts to students

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues

A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new teaching approaches and technologies
